报告摘要:Kempe’s Universality theorem is one of the most important theorems in theoretical mechanism. Roughly speaking, it states that every algebraic curve in $R^n$ can be realized by some linkage. In this talk, we generalize the theorem to rational curves on real linear groups. We will discuss the decomposition and classification of such curves. As an application, we will explain how our results can be applied to mechanism.

叶科,中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院副研究员,研究兴趣是代数及几何方法在计算复杂度理论,(多重)线性代数,数值计算以及优化问题中的应用。学术成果主要发表于Adv. Math.,  Found. Comut. Math., Math. Program.,  SIAM J. Matrix Anal. Appl,  IEEE Info. Theory 等重要国际期刊。担任《SIAM Journal on Applied Algebra and Geometry》编委。曾入选海外高层次人才引进计划(青年项目)、中科院百人计划(C类)、中科院基础研究领域青年团队计划。获得吴文俊计算机数学青年学者奖、华为技术合作成果转化二等奖、优秀合作项目奖以及中科院“陈景润未来之星”。
